Bassey Edet Otu is a Nigerian politician who represented the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani constituency of Cross River State, Nigeria in the Federal House of Representatives from 2003 - 2011.

Prince Bassey The late Mr. & Mrs. Edet Okon Otu of Adiabo in the Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State were the parents of Edet Otu, who was born on October 18, 1959. He was raised in Calabar, his hometown, as well as Jos, Plateau State, where his father had been transferred to a Church of Scotland mission. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Calabar's Faculty of Social Sciences. He worked in finance and the oil industry before transitioning into politics. He dabbles in farming as well.

Later, in 2016, he joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), and in the 2019 election, the party chose him to represent Cross River South in the Senate.
